Friday Meme Madness

I am so glad that it is Friday, but my BF is working all weekend so I won't get to see him very much ) : I am planning to see Alice In Wonderland and How To Train Your Dragon with two of my friends and my friend's little girl! Yay for a little time with the girls (and having a lil one pick the movie so I can finally see How To Train Your Dragon!)

This week Mama M has another great set of questions for 5 Question Friday:

1. Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life? I would play myself! I would pull a Good Will Hunting and write it and star in it! ( : If that is not an option, then I would probably say Rachael McAdams or Rosamund Pike or Kirsten Dunst (I have had people say I look like the last two lovely ladies. How sweet, right?!)
2. Did you ever go to summer camp? Yes! I went to Mingus Mt Methodist Camp from the time I was 10 years old until I was 16! I loved my time there so much and I wouldn't trade those memories for anything! It really helped me grow in my faith and have a closer relationship with God. I will always carry that feeling with me in my heart.

3. What sends you running and screaming in the other direction? Spiders! Haha, I love this picture! This was taken at FAO Schwartz in Las Vegas (before they closed! How sad is that!?) But seriously, spiders make my skin crawl!

4. What is something you do that drives your spouse nuts? I am not married, but I did recently discover something I do when I am over at my BF's that drives him crazy. The other day he told me how much he hates it when I forget to put the cap back on the toothpaste. We have been dating for almost three years and he just tells me now, haha. I am now making a conscious effort to replace the cap every time!

5. What is currently your favorite song? Ooo- this is a toughie because I love so many songs! I think the one that is in my head right now is "Stole My Heart" by Little and Ashley. You might recognize it from the Kindle commercial but I think its a cute catchy tune! Following in the commercial trend 'Ali in the Jungle,' by the Hours is pretty cool too! I also LOVE Lady Antebellum right now, especially their song "Need You Now."

To play along head on over:

The topic over at Favorite Fridays this week is favorite dramatic book.

Favorite Fridays

There are so many great book out there that I love, but I will share one that is a quick read but still a really great story and very well written. Sea Glass by Anita Shreve is one of my all time favorites. It is kind of unique in that it is told from six different points of view, but is still very easy to follow and hard to put down! Here is the review from Amazon:

From its opening pages, Anita Shreve's Sea Glass surrounds the reader in the surprisingly rich feeling of the New Hampshire coast in winter. Vividly evoking the life of the coastal community at the beginning of the Great Depression, Sea Glass shifts through the multiple points of view of six principal characters; it's a skillfully created story of braided lives that bounces easily (even inevitably) from character to character. We learn how these lives come together following the stock market crash of 1929 and about the struggles of mill workers on the starkly beautiful New Hampshire coast during the following year...Each character finds unexpected new purpose beyond the struggle to survive during that turbulent year among the dunes. First their lives barely touch, then they intersect, and finally they become inextricably bound. By the powerful and unexpected final scenes of the story, every point of view, every brilliant shard of life depends deeply on all the others. It is a very satisfying read--confidently told and deeply felt--with as many subtle colors and reflections as the sea glass that permeates the narrative. --Paul Ford

And finally... In honor of Funny Fridays and the fact that the ski resort two hours from my house will be closing for the season this weekend, I leave you with this little guy:

Have a great weekend everyone!
