Feel The Burn!

This week there are some great questions over at the Random Dozen and I am happy to play along:

1. Define a great relationship. I think the best possible answer is always found in the Bible:
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails. {1 Corinthians 13}
We are certainly not perfect, but I think we are pretty lucky to have a love like ours. At the end of the day, you just want to be with someone who makes you laugh. ( :

2. Why is it called a "drive-through" if you have to stop? (Real question: What was the last food/drink you purchased at a drive-through?) I am actually not a huge drive through fan! The last thing I purchased was the Grilled Deli Trio at Jack In The Box. It was pretty tasty!

3. As I type this, the Butler Bulldogs are getting ready to play in the NCAA championship game. Every Hoosier is hysterical about this except me. So in honor of the Bulldogs ... what is your favorite breed of dog? (I tried.) I think I can easily say Silky Terrier(which is what my dog is and are VERY similar to Yorkshire Terriers, so I just call him that). I also love Papillons (which means butterfly in French) and think that might be my next breed of dog, although my boyfriend loves the King Charles Spaniels.
4. If you had to move to a state besides the one you currently live in, where would you move? I think it would be either California or Maine, but I love the Grand Canyon state for right now.

5. If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? I would not change a thing. I just wish it didn't go by so fast!

6. Who's the funniest person you know? My dad! I swear it is not just my bias! Some people are just quick witted and he definitely is one of those people!

7. Did you get enough sleep last night? I am lucky that I almost always get enough sleep.

8. What's the first thing you thought about this morning? 15 more mins, haha

9. Grilled or Fried? --HONESTLY, I would have to say fried! Believe me, I wish I preferred the healthy version!!

10. Are you afraid of the dark? Yes... As I posted before, my bedroom light is on a sixty min timer because I fall asleep with the light on so often! LOL

11.When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Electrical engineer... I was a daddy's girl! ( :

12. If you had one word to describe yourself , what would you choose? BLESSED

I am also linking up at The Seattle Smiths for Wishful Wednesday this week.
I wish' .... I had the willpower to
stay on one particular diet,
and it would be ______!
For me, diet is the hardest part! I love to work out and be active, but asking me to give up all the delicious food I love is a whole different story! I have been super bad about both diet and exercise so this is the perfect opportunity for me to check out everyone's diet picks and maybe try one out myself! I think out of everything I have seen out there, the thing that I would like to start using is the GLYCEMIC INDEX. I learned about nutrition in school and this idea is both healthy and effective for weight control. According to Web MD, "The "glycemic index diet," "GI diet," and "low glycemic diet" are more than diet books. They refer to a system of ranking carbohydrate foods according to how much a certain amount of each food raises a person's blood sugar levels". They also point out, "The glycemic index is the basis for many popular diet plans, such as SouthBeach, The Zone, Sugar Busters, Glucose Revolution, and Ending the Food Fight."

I am excited to see what everyone else recommends and maybe I will start getting serious about my diet and exercise before summer comes! I went on a walk today with my BFF and our friend's dog Rouge, so that's a start! I have also thought about trying to do this One Hundred Pushups. I will keep you posted on that! To check out everyone's answers and link up your own suggestions head on over to the Seattle Smiths:

  3. I have a Silky too! (her pic is on my blog today) I rescued her about 2 years ago from a pound...she's my little Claire-bear. Right now (as of 2 days ago) I started on Curves 3-phase weight management plan. This is the hardest week (1200 calories, but in 30 short days I get to pop up to 2000 calories. YAY for 2000!
